Pri-Med Institute Awarded Accreditation
as Continuing Education Provider for Pharm-Med Updates
Boston, July 14– The American Council on Pharmaceutical Education
(ACPE) has accredited the Pri-Med Institute as a provider of continuing
education for pharmacists. The Pri-Med Institute will now provide
CE credits for the 2004 series of Pharm-Med Updates, a schedule
of intensive one and two-day conferences for practicing pharmacists
in cities throughout the US. “ACPE accreditation enables us to expand
the scope of the clinical programs offered by Pharm-Med Updates
while ensuring exacting standards of quality,“ said Marissa
Seligman, Pharm.D., vice president and compliance officer of the
Pri-Med Institute. “As the role of pharmacists in patient
care becomes more pivotal and more complex, continuing professional
education becomes increasingly important.”
Pharm-Med Updates, introduced in 2002,
grew out of the Pri-Med family of continuing medical education programs,
a national series of conferences held in 35 cities across the US
and attended by more than 65 thousand primary care clinicians. The
2003 Pharm-Med Updates schedule, commencing in September, includes
six conferences in New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Fort
Lauderdale and Los Angeles.
